Classical Music - Harpist: Helen Radice
Helen plays background and wedding ceremony music regularly for weddings and events in such venues as the Ritz, the Savoy, Claridges, the Conaught, the Dorchester, Kensington Palace, Café de Paris, Café Royal, the QE2 and Warwick Castle.
Helen has also played for Royalty and Tony Blair. As well as diverse religious and civil weddings, her harp has been carried into a cornfield for a humanist ceremony and she has been dressed as an angel for a gay engagement!
Helen had a scholarship at Oxford, where she graduated with a first, and then went to the Royal College of Music to study with Ieuan Jones. She was awarded a distinction in her postgraduate performance studies, thanks to his inspiring lessons.
Her prizes and awards include the Quigley, Gibbs, Vaughan Morgan and Charles Oldham Prize 2000, the Camac Harp Competition 2003, and in March 2003 she came second in the UFAM International Music Competition in Paris.
Helen's harp music ranges across classical, celtic, folk, jazz and pop.
