Yorkshire comedian Norman became famous overnight in 1971 when he stopped the show at his first appearance in the Royal Variety Performance attended by the Queen and Princess Anne.

After this success at this performance it came as no surprise to learn that he was nominated Top Comedian of 1970 in The Stage and Television Awards.

Since then he has appeared as principal comedian in many summer seasons and pantomimes and has appeared with artists such as Cliff Richard, Michael Barrymore, Canon and Ball and Little and Large etc.

He has appeared on numerous TV and variety shows including Des O'Connor and Michael Parkinson.

A noted comedian he is also in great demand as an After Dinner Speaker.
