It was Dennis Norden who said 'He is like no-one else, an entertainer who treads a dangerous path where no others have trod'.

And the public agreed when he received his first BAFTA nomination in 1990 for 'British Comedian of the Year' His television career began in 1981, after he returned from America where he supported the legendary Steve Martin.

Further appearances with Tom Jones, Jim Davidson, Supertramp, Jethro Tull and David Essex quickly followed.

He has performed guitar duets with Brian May of Queen and Status Quo.

To date Richard has recorded nineteen radio series for the BBC and has written six hundred songs for those shows alone.
